Ambassador Davidonis presents copies of his letters of credence to Bahrain’s Foreign Minister

On 14 December, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania Ramūnas Davidonis remotely presented copies of his letters of credence to Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.
The meeting focused on key issues of bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Bahrain, and the possibility of strengthening economic and security ties. Davidonis congratulated the Foreign Minister on Bahrain’s upcomming National Day on 16 December.
Davidonis is Lithuania’s second Ambassador accredited to Bahrain. On 15 September 1991, Bahrain recognized the restoration of the independent state of Lithuania. The countries established their diplomatic relations on 3 July 1995.
