Budrys heads to the U.S.
From September 17 to 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kęstutis Budrys, will be on a working visit to the United States.
From 17 to 20 September in Washington, D.C., the Minister will meet with U.S. administration officials and members of Congress and will visit the Kristijonas Donelaitis Lithuanian School of Washington, and the Lithuanian Hall in Baltimore.
From 20 to 24 September, the Minister will be in New York, where he will participate in events during the High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly, including events aimed at mobilizing international support for Ukraine, as well as a meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
Budrys will also participate in a business forum on resilience, a high-level event entitled “Strengthening Security and Resilience: The Baltic States-U.S. Agenda”, as well as in a two separate meetings — one of EU foreign ministers and another of ministers from the Nordic and Baltic countries. He will also meet with U.S. Jewish organizations and attend an event marking the 100th anniversary of the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York. The Minister is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings.
