Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Armenia and Azerbaijan discuss Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
On 4 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius discussed the renewed Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister expressed deep concerns about the large-scale use of military force along the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Linkevičius urged both sides to refrain from the use of force, to respect the ceasefire, and to seek a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
In the conversations with the Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers, Linkevičius extended condolences to the victims’ families.
