On 18 August at the Lithuanian Embassy in Dublin, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Ireland Egidijus Meilūnas conferred the Foreign Ministry’s award of honor – Lithuania’s Diplomacy Star – on the former Irish Ambassador Donal Denham for his outstanding contribution to the effective development of bilateral relations.

According to Lithuania’s Ambassador to Ireland E. Meilūnas, the first Irish Ambassador to Lithuania D. Denham has helped to pave the way for better collaboration and partnership between the two countries.

E. Meilūnas was also glad that the former Irish Ambassador had actively contributed to the further development of bilateral relations, especially in the fields of economy and tourism. For example, the Lithuania-Ireland Network was established at D. Denham’s initiative last year.
