Fourth Foreign Vice-Minister begins work
Taurimas Valys, the fourth Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, has begun his duties. Valys is an experienced professional in both the public and business sectors, with extensive experience in economic diplomacy, international trade, and investment attraction.
The Vice-Minister has served as an advisor to the Prime Minister on economic diplomacy and the efficiency of state-owned enterprises. Valys was elected vice-president of the French-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce and Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts. Additionally, he is one of the founders and a former Vice-President of the Turkish-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce. As a member of Vilnius City Municipality, Valys participated in the activities of committees on the economy, finance, strategic planning and control, privatisation, and human rights.
Since 2012, Valys has collaborated with the Vilnius University Business School, where he has served multiple terms as a lecturer in finance programs. He holds a Master's degree in Business Management and Administration and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Politics from Vilnius University and a Master's degree in Law and Management from Mykolas Romeris University. He has also completed internships at universities in Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Finland, and the United States.
