Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze pays an official visit to Lithuania
Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze is paying an official visit to Lithuania on 10-11 January.
On 11 January, Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze is meeting with Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius to discuss bilateral relations between Lithuania and Georgia, the prospects for Georgia’s integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic structures, and the situation in Georgia after the elections. The Ministers are also signing the annual action plan for 2013 set out in the Lithuania-Georgia Charter on European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
On 11 January, Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze is a guest at the traditional informal Snow Meeting in Trakai, where she is presenting Georgia’s foreign policy priorities.
This is the first visit of the Georgian Foreign Minister to Lithuania after the new Georgian Government was formed in the wake of Georgia’s parliamentary elections on 1 October 2012.
