Lithuanian Foreign Vice-Minister receives new Ambassador of Belarus

On 27 January, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Andrius Krivas received the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Lithuania Alexander Korol.

The meeting focused on the most topical issues of bilateral relations. The diplomats highlighted increased cooperation in matters of economy, freight transit and others between nations in recent years. The Ambassador A.Korol thanked Lithuania for its efforts to promote dialogue between Belarus and the EU during the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

A.Korol has succeeded the Ambassador of Belarus to Lithuania Vladimir Drazhin. A.Korol will present his letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė on 28 January.
