LITHUANIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS EXPRESSED HIS SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO HIS LATVIAN COUNTERPART

On 23 February Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas sent a letter to Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Artis Pabriks expressing his sincere condolences for the tragedy, which had occurred the previous night at the social care centre in Auslunga, Kuldyga region of Latvia.
“It is unfortunate that the fire took lives of the social care centre residents despite the bravery and heroic efforts of Latvian rescue services,” Foreign Minister Vaitiekūnas wrote in the letter.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed feelings of the greatest sympathy to the families of the victims, relatives and all who had suffered loss as a result of this painful tragedy.
