On September 20, Ambassador of Lithuania in Japan Gediminas Varvuolis received at the Lithuanian Embassy Chargé d'Affaires of the United States in Japan Raymond Greene. During the meeting, support of the United States to Lithuania's decision to deepen cultural and economic ties with Taiwan was expressed.
During the meeting, issues of international politics and economic cooperation relevant to Lithuania and the United States were discussed. Also, there was a discussion about the importance of heritage of Chiune Sugihara to relations of Lithuania, Japan and the United States.
