Lithuania’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO presents letters of credence to head of International Organisation of La Francophonie

On 10 December, Permanent Representative of Lithuania to UNESCO, Ambassador Arūnas Gelūnas presented his letters of credence to President Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie.
The officials discussed the Francophonie Summit in Dakar in November 2014, Lithuania’s activities in the Group of Francophone Ambassadors at UNESCO, aims of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, especially in the areas, such as education, youth and cultural diversity.
Lithuania enjoys an observer status in the International Organisation of La Francophonie since 1999.
