MFA’s statement on ISIL murder of Jordanian pilot

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania strongly condemns the brutal murder of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh and notes that those involved in this and other terrorist acts must be brought to justice.
This particularly cruel crime committed by the grouping known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was an outrageous and barbarous act.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers its heartfelt condolences to the family of the Jordanian pilot, the Government and people of Jordan. ISIL’s repeated offences prove once again that the international community must mobilize and join its efforts to combat terrorism.
