V.Leškevičius and Iceland’s new Ambassador pledge to advance close relations between Lithuania and Iceland

On 24 January in Vilnius, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Vytautas Leškevičius met with Iceland’s new Ambassador to Lithuania Kristín Aðalbjörg Árnadóttir, discussed the successful bilateral relationship, possibilities to further advance the relations and close cooperation within international organizations.

“We are pleased with the successful partnership between Lithuania and Iceland, and enjoy an active dialogue on various issues. Our goal is to further advance the longstanding and sincere friendship between our countries,” V.Leškevičius said.

The Vice-Minister congratulated Iceland on the successful beginning of the presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

On 24 January, the Ambassador of Iceland to Lithuania Kristín Aðalbjörg Árnadóttir presented her letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė. The diplomat resides in Helsinki, Finland. She is also Ambassador to Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Ukraine.
