“Lithuania and Finland are linked by an intensive and dynamic economic partnership. Finland is among Lithuania’s priority partners in the field of exports and innovation. We have strong potential to expand cooperation in the high-tech and defense industries,” Vice-Minister Valys told the event participants.

The Vice-Minister highlighted Lithuania’s rapid technological progress—particularly in the fields of lasers and photonics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence — equally noted Lithuania’s growing role in the military technology ecosystem, as well as increasing investments in defense.

Valys drew attention to the favorable conditions being created for investors in Lithuania, including the “Investment Highway” initiative, which significantly accelerates the implementation of large-scale projects.

The high-level business forum was organized by the Embassy of Lithuania in Finland in cooperation with partners. At the event, Lithuanian and Finnish defense and high-tech experts discussed the development of smart electronics manufacturing, the implementation of innovations in the defense industry, and the integration of both countries’ supply chains to strengthen the region’s technological resilience.
