Vice-Minister Meilūnas to attend a meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers

On 7 January, Foreign Vice-Minister Egidijus Meilūnas will participate in an extraordinary remote meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers.
The meeting is being held to discuss the security situation in Europe with regard to the mobilization of Russian troops near Ukraine. At the meeting, representatives of NATO countries will discuss further contacts of NATO and its allies with Russia and the preparations for the NATO-Russia Council, which is scheduled for 12 January.
The meeting will also discuss further political and practical support for Ukraine under pressure from Russia and the strengthening of the security and defense of NATO allies.
